Flowers and Decor

Flowers that I LOVE!

Calla lilies are going to be all throughout my wedding.  Everywhere you look there will be calla lillies!

We will set small glass cubes of either white, deep purple, or purple and white mixed callas on the guest book table, the gift table, and the candy buffet table.

Our tall centerpieces will look similar to this, but with about 8 more callas.

The alter flowers we will use in our outdoor ceremony will look a lot like this.

Another flower I love are orchids!

There will be purple orchids on my cake and scattered on each of the tables.

My bouquet will be a mix of deep purple callas, white callas, green orchids, and purple orchids.  There are a few inspirational pics.

The aisles

Picture
The aisle for the outdoor ceremony will have a small hand-full of mini-calla lilies tied to each outside chair.  it will look like this but with calla lilies.

Picture
I love the idea of rose petals down the aisle, it looks so romantic!  I want to do with with dark purple and lavander petals but I have one huge issue-I don't know when would be a good time to scatter the petals!  Most people have outside aisles to seat the guests so the petals will not get trampled.  Our venue does not have this, we will have to seat peope through the center aisle.  One knottie mentioned that the bridesmaids could scatter then as they walk.  Any ideas?

Picture
The people on the inner aisle chairs will each have a cone of petals that they will toss at us during the recessional.  Peek in DIY for directions on how to make them.

These are the petals we are using.  We are getting them from flyboynaturals.com and using them down the aisle, on the cake table, and in tossing cones for when we do the recessional.  The awesome thing is that they are freeze-dried so I can order them 2 months before the wedding and they will still look amazing the day of!

Centerpieces

Picture
our centerpieces will be a mix of half tall and half short.  The tall ones were mentioned about but we will also have tall sunken flower vases like the picture to the left.  All of the shorter centerpieces will be 3 different sizes of vases with sunken calla lilies and orchids with votive candles and orchids scattered around each vase.
